The CEH v13 (exam code 312-50) is EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker certification. It covers 20 domains including Footprinting, Scanning, System Hacking, Malware Threats, Social Engineering, and more. The exam has 125 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 4 hours.
EC-Council does not publish an official passing score for the CEH exam. Most prep materials cite around 60%, so aim to answer well above 75 of the 125 questions correctly.
Exam fees are set by EC-Council and vary by membership status and region. Check EC-Council's CEH page for current pricing before you buy — fees change over time, so older study materials may quote outdated amounts.
You must qualify before sitting the exam: either complete official EC-Council training (online via iClass or at an authorized training center) or apply with two years of relevant security experience. Once approved, you can take the exam online with remote proctoring or at a VUE test center.
Most candidates need 6 weeks at 1-2 hours daily or 4 weeks with 4+ hours daily. Experience with Security+ or hands-on IT can reduce prep time.
Yes. Our free flashcards (306 cards) and practice questions (200) cover all 20 exam domains. Hands-on labs are recommended but not required for the multiple-choice exam.
If you don't pass, you can take the exam again — each attempt requires a new exam voucher. Check EC-Council's current retake rules before you rebook.
